As of 08/17/2023 All Bids Rejected , Project will Rebid The County of Franklin is currently accepting Bids for the design and construction of a Garage Building at the County Landfill at 9340 Virgil H. The construction should include insulation and two overhead commercial light fixtures. Please include the cost for the fixtures; however, the County reserves the right to purchase the fixtures separately if this proves more cost-effective. Electrical will be installed by the County after construction is complete. The building should have three 16 feet tall roll-up doors, two on the front elevation and one on the rear elevation, and two 36"x80" walk-through doors, one on each side of the building. The building should have two windows, approximately three feet x four feet, on each side of the building (a total of four). The peak elevation should be at least 24 feet. The front and rear elevations should be designed to accommodate ventilation fans (approximately three feet by three feet). The building will be constructed on a reinforced concrete structure (pad); We request stamped drawings from the successful bidder before mobilization; the building plans will determine the concrete specifications, and we will design the pad accordingly. The selected bidder will be required to submit engineering drawings and sufficient Engineer Certified plans to ensure the structure can handle up to 140 MPH Winds and 35 PSF Snow Load. Contractors submitting bids for prefabricated metal buildings should submit a price for "Red Iron "and for standard tubular steel.
