furnishing all labor, material, tax, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for the ELECTRICAL SERVICE UPGRADE COLLEGEVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL at 6701 Jack Tone Rd, Stockton, CA 95215 in accordance with the plans, specifications and working details and other Contract Documents. Bids must be from appropriately licensed contractors, must be sealed and accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the District in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. "The amount of the bid" is defined to include all additive alternates and no deductive alternates. The cash, cashier's check, certified check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a written contract within ten (10) days after being requested to do so and will be considered as the stipulated amount of liquidated damages in the event the bidder is unable to or refuses to execute a contract for the work. Upon an award to the successful bidder, the security of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned in a reasonable period of time. The construction estimate for this project is $200,000 Pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids shall be made upon the form provided by the District and shall be properly completed with all items filled out; numbers shall be in writing and figures; the signatures of all persons signing shall be in longhand. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the time set for the opening of bids, and the Board will act to accept or reject bids within that period of time. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and further reserves the right to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bids. A valid C-10 contractor's license will be required.
