The City of Liberty Hill, herein after "City", seeks to enter into an agreement with a qualified Individual, Firm or Corporation, herein after "Respondent", to provide furnishing, installing and providing all labor and materials required for the construction of approximately 6,031 L.F. of 21''ASTM F679 PS115 PVC wastewater gravity main at varying depths up to 14 ft. , 21 - 5' diameter standard manholes, 140 L.F. of road bore with 42" steel casing and 24" ASTM F679 PS115 PVC wastewater gravity main, short service line installation, saw cutting and replacing existing pavement and concrete, erosion control, tree removal, 6' chain link fence removal and replacement and other items, as more fully described in the Construction Plans and Project Specifications. Deadline for Vendor Questions Submitted to the City of Liberty Hill August 1, 2023, by 5:00PM CST A bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Liberty Hill or negotiable US Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of bid bond. Successful respondent shall deliver to City both a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond no later than the 10th day after the agreement has been executed both for the Project price. Penal sums for both bonds shall each be equal to the agreed upon Project price. Liquidated Damages: Liquidated damages shall apply in the amount of five-hundred dollars ($500.00) per calendar day for each day past the agreed upon delivery date every month. Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete within 435 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 465 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
