The City of Alpharetta is seeking a qualified contractor with sports lighting experience to provide sports field lighting pole upgrades to certain athletic facilities within Wills Park, within the City of Alpharetta. The project will address the following: removal and deposal of 24 existing wooden lighting poles, replacing these with 21 concrete sports field lighting poles, and reinstalling the existing fixtures. There is also one existing concrete pole to be relocated. The scope of work for Fields 1, 2, 3, and 4 generally includes, but may not be limited to the following: The successful contractor will be responsible for all work, labor including all subcontractors and electrical needed, site protection, materials, supplies, and site cleanup to complete the work and haul off debris. Interested contractors may visit this public park to view the project area. Park hours are 5:00 AM and 11:00 PM. B. Project work will be permitted during the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. No Saturday work will be permitted unless pre-approved by the City's representative for this project. No Sunday work will be allowed. C. Work will include an 8-week lead time for materials and then sixty (60) days for completion of the work. The work must be completed by January 31, 2024. D. There will not be Liquidated Damages for this project. E. Site Security, Site Protection, Materials Storage, Staging: i. Work will be within an active City Park. Safety to the public and on-site workers is necessary at all times. ii. Staging area for the work will be in the Wills Park parking lot next to the pool at 1815 Old Milton Parkway, near the corner of Old Milton Parkway and Wills Road. This parking lot is noted on the Wills Park Aerial map in blue as Service Access. iii. Protection and security of materials and equipment stored on-site is the responsibility of the contractor. iv. Contractor will protect all turf and grounds areas, concrete, and asphalt from damage. v. Contractor will replace / repair damaged turf, grounds areas, concrete and asphalt related to this work.
