**As of August 21, 2023, the project was awarded to PAULSEN CONSTRUCTION LLC . Awarded amount was not disclosed.** Fire Station #1 will be a regional facility that will serve all of Provo City. Citizen surveys and focus group studies have shown that the development of a new Fire Station #1 is extremely important to the residents of Provo City The new Fire Station #1 building should enhance the quality of life of Provo City residents by providing adequate, updated spaces for fire personnel, while also creating a pleasing aesthetic structure and landscape. Work shall also include secured employee parking and landscape areas. The new Fire Station #1 building is projected to be about 8,000 square feet. Provo City projects a total construction budget of about $5 million. The City of Provo will administer the design, funding, construction, maintenance, and operation of the facility. Performance and Payment Bonds in the prescribed form in the amount of 100% of the contract sum for faithful performance of the contract upon final agreement of the GMP. The Bid Bond attached, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the FLCC, shall become the property of Provo City, as liquidated damages for delay and additional expenses caused thereby in the event that the contract is not executed and/or acceptable or 100% Performance and Payment Bonds are not delivered within the time set forth.
