PN-21-0129.001 Bids shall be accompanied by a 5% bid security. Bid bond must be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or a bid bond issued by a surety.Prior to signing the Contract, the Owner will require the successful bidder to secure and post a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. Such Bonds shall be issued by a Surety acceptable to the Owner. All questions must be received no later than July 17, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. Phase II of Riverwalk is the construction of a paver shared-use path starting at the western terminus of Riverwalk, Phase I, running along the southeastern side of Bridgeview Park, then parallel to West Bank Street until it connects to West Bank at the entrance to Bridgeview. Riverwalk, Phase II also installs a crosswalk between the Riverwalk path and an existing sidewalk on West Bank Street. The Phase II path is 10' wide and approximately 950 linear feet in length. A valid business license from the Town is required for successful award of this project. At or prior to delivery of the signed Agreement/Contract, the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall deliver to the Owner a copy of their Town Business License. The bidder shall ensure that the Business License indicates a basis amount equal to or greater than the awarded Contract value. Contractors shall indicate a unit price for each item listed in the Pay Items Summary which follows. The listed pay items are to contain all necessary costs required for completion of the work. It is understood that all quantities listed below are estimated quantities and the Owner reserves the right to raise, lower or eliminate any quantity or item. If any quantities are more than 10% of the bid quantities during construction, Town may renegotiate price with Contractor. Unit prices shall be used in determining partial and full payment. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, meeting all specifications, subject to the Owner's right to reject any or all bids and to waive informality and irregularity in the bids and in the bidding.
