Oak Road East Extension. Upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed, the Contractor shall commence the work withinten (10) days from the Date of the Notice and shall complete the work within duration (270) calendar days from the date of the Notice. Deduction at the rate of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per day shall be made from the total Contract price for each and every calendar day beyond the duration (270) days from the date of Notice to Proceed that the work remains not satisfactorily completed. The above mentioned sum shall be deducted as Liquidated Damages and not as penalty, the said sum being specifically agreed upon in advance as a measure of damage to the Owner on account of the delay, and the Contract price reduced by the aggregate of the entire damages so deducted shall be accepted in full satisfaction of all work executed under the contract.
