The St. Lucie County requests qualified contractors, who have successfully completed projects associated with roads at airports or with St. Lucie County, to bid on the Tailwind Drive Extension at Treasure Coast International Airport and Business Park (FPR). The existing Tailwind Drive will be extended to connect to Curtis King Boulevard and will be constructed in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation regulations. The project's major construction activities shall include: mobilization; topographic pre-construction survey; maintenance of traffic; full depth asphalt pavement removal; asphalt milling; clearing and grubbing; new roadway asphalt pavement construction (asphalt, limerock, compacted subgrade); earthwork excavation/grading; stormwater/drainage pipe and structures; as-built survey; quality control/materials testing; sodding; and demobilization. Bid Bond 5% The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities; reject any and all bids/proposals which are incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not allowed for; accept or reject any proposal in whole or in part with or without cause; and accept the proposal which best serves the County.
