BAYFRONT PARKING IMPROVEMENTS July 28, 2023 CITY OF NEWPORTBAYFRONT PARKING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Bids Due 2:00 pm, August 10, 2023 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSThe City of Newport, OR (Owner) is requesting bids for the construction of the following project: BAYFRONT PARKING IMPROVEMENTS Proposals must be received by the City by 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 10, 2023 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. All interested parties are invited to attend the bid opening. Subcontractor declarations must be delivered to Owner as above no later than 4:00 p.m. on the day of the bid opening. A brief description of the scope of work is provided below: 1. Installation of ten (10) parking kiosk concrete foundations. Owner to provide installation of kiosk's following foundation construction. 2. Removal and replacement of approximately 35 traffic sign posts, anchor sleeves, and concrete. Materials for new sign posts, anchor sleeves, and sign mounting hardware to be provided by the Owner. This work includes sawcutting, excavation, and disposal of existing sign posts, anchor sleeves, concrete, and non-desired signs as determined by the Owner. Desired signs as determined by the Owner (approx. 35) to be salvaged for re-installation by Contractor on new posts installed by the Contractor. Surface restoration is also required by the Contractor. All other new signs to be installed by the Owner following installation of new posts by the Contractor 3. Installation of approximately 25 traffic sign posts and anchor sleeves, and concrete. Materials for new sign posts and anchor sleeves to be provided by the Owner. This work includes sawcutting, excavation, and installation for the new sign posts and anchor sleeves. Surface restoration is also required by the Contractor. All new signs to be installed by the Owner following installation of new posts by the Contractor.
