Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by the State of Georgia and be fully insured and bonded. In general, construction consists of an estimated total of 7,897 feet of 8" main sewer rehabilitation improvements proposed (6,410 LF pipe-burst plus 1,487 LF CIPP = 7,897 LF). There is an estimated 2,165 LF of 4" service pipe proposed to replace existing pipe either by pipe-bursting, static pull or open cut installation methods, installation of manholes & cleanouts, manhole rehabilitation (231 VF), erosion control, grassing and all other associated appurtenances necessary for a complete and operational project in the target area. Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are to be funded through the Department of Community Affairs. "This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply - a required Pre-bid Meeting will be held in which Section 3 preferences and compliance will be discussed in detail." If Section 3 documents are not properly signed and submitted with the bid, the bid will be rejected. Work to Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the project titled CDBG FY2022 Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation Improvements - Phase V as shown on the construction drawings.
