Street Resurfacing FY2024. Cold planing and paving work on multiple City streets, including thermoplastic pavement markings. The Work under this section shall consist of performing all Work required for the application of bituminous material to an existing asphalt base or bituminous binder to provide bond for a superimposed asphalt wearing surface The scope of the work includes excavation of existing pavement by cold-planing and the installation of new, hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement with emulsion tack, asphalt berm and related work at designated locations. Included in this contract is the responsibility to provide the necessary means for proper preparation of resurfaced areas and redefining roadside drainage ditches. This Shoulder work includes, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of roadside debris, sand, brush, etc., and sweeping said Shoulder area, within eight (8) feet of pavement edge. Existing culverts are to be cleaned by way of high-pressure water jet stream and vacuum, with inlet/outlet ways cleared of all debris. Disposal of all collected materials will be the responsibility of the Contractor.
