The project involves the rehabilitation of two primary clarifiers at the Water Reclamation Facility. This includes demolition, removal, and replacement of sludge collecting mechanisms, access bridges, weirs and baffles, spray water system, mechanical drive, electrical conduits, light poles, control panels, and other equipment. Concrete floor rehabilitation and spot repairs on the existing launder walls are also part of the project. For each clarifier, the Project involves demolition and removal of existing sludge collecting mechanisms and appurtenances, access bridges, including stairs and handrails, weirs and baffles, spray water system, mechanical drive, electrical conduits/associated wiring, light poles, and control panels. New components to be installed will generally include new sludge collector mechanisms and appurtenances, access bridges including stairs and handrails, weirs and baffles, spray water system, mechanical drive, electrical conduits/associated wiring, light poles, control panels and other ancillary equipment required for a complete system. The existing concrete floor of each clarifier will also be rehabilitated along with concrete spot repairs on the existing launder walls of both clarifiers. The Engineer's estimate is between $2,070,000 and $2,645,000. The existing equipment has reached the end of its useful life and will be replaced to ensure continual operation of the clarifiers.
