The Van Dyke Public Schools is seeking bids to demo seventy-one (71) existing water fountains, and install forty-four (44) filtered bottle filling stations in several building throughout the district. Site access shall be August 21, 2023-September 22, 2023 Lincoln High School 22900 Federal Warren MI 48089 Lincoln Middle School 22500 Federal Warren, MI 48089 Lincoln Elementary 22100 Federal Warren, MI 48089 Carlson Elementary 12355 Mruk Warren, MI 48089 McKinley Elementary 13173 Toepfer Warren, MI 48089 Administration Building/Success Academy 23500 MacArthur Warren, MI 48089 Federal Prevailing wage rates for apply to this project. The wages and fringe benefits to be paid to each class of worker shall not be less than the wage and fringe benefit rates prevailing in the locality in which the work is to be performed, in accordance with the Federal Davis-Bacon Act of 1931, as amended. Compliance with the Federal Davis-Bacon Act is a requirement of this project Work must be completed and final invoice must be paid prior to September 30, 2023. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to 5% of the total bid price, as a guarantee of bidder's good faith. The good faith deposit shall be forfeited to the district as liquidated damages, not a penalty, if the bidder withdraws its proposal after the due date, or upon award of its proposal, the bidder fails to execute the form of the contract and provide insurance acceptable to the School District, within fifteen (15) days of awarding the RFP. The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award to other than the low bidder, to accept any and all alternates, to waive irregularities and/or informalities, and, in general, to make the award in any manner deemed by it, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the School District.
