The Shop and the Mess Hall are both located within the Sierra Ancha Experimental Forest. From Apache Junction, take State Highway 88 northeast to Roosevelt on Lake Roosevelt and then southeast to Highway 288. Turn on to Highway 288 and follow it north until the pavement ends, and then continue on the dirt road until you pass the Arizona DOT workstation. Just past it is a Sierra Ancha Experimental Forest sign on the right, and you will find an access road with a gate to enter the site. Period of Performance: 08/21/2023 to 09/05/2023 C.1 SCOPE OF CONTRACT The work includes the demolition of two buildings, haul off, and disposal of demolished materials. The Shop is a 960 sq. ft building with a wood frame and corrugated metal siding. The Mess Hall (Building #5) is an 834 sq. ft wood building. Both buildings must be demolished without the use of explosives. The Mess Hall must have water and sewer lines capped and, at minimum, everything above the foundation must be removed and disposed of properly. The foundation of the Mess Hall consists of concrete piers. The foundation of the Shop is a concrete slab on grade. C.2 PROJECT LOCATION The Shop and the Mess Hall are both located within the Sierra Ancha Experimental Forest.
