Reference Number 0000321710 DUWA is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) from Ultraviolet (UV) System Suppliers to provide an ultraviolet disinfection system to replace the existing UV disinfection system at the Downriver Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 797 Central Street, Wyandotte, MI 48192. DUWA intends to preselect the UV System Supplier through this Named Manufacturer process. This RFP shall be used to secure the equipment price. The equipment will be purchased by the project's awarded General Contractor under a separate RFP and will be installed by the General Contractor under a separate contract. The General Contractor will also rehabilitate existing gates and procure and install new gates and actuators as indicated on the Construction Documents. Only the Named Manufacturer will be accepted as the supplier for the UV disinfection system. The scope of work for the UV System Supplier consists of the following major elements: Develop equipment shop drawing submittal per the RFP documents, address Engineer's comments on the shop drawing, and provide a final approved shop drawing submittal Furnish UV disinfection system as defined in the Open Channel UV Disinfection System Section of the RFP Coordinate with General Contractor to ensure seamless operation of the slide gates and the UV disinfection system PLC/controls Complete other work as defined in Section 46 6656 Deliver equipment to the point of destination at 797 Central Street, Wyandotte, MI 48192 Assist with installation and startup Provide training Provide equipment warranty Include costs in the proposal for items that the General Contractor will require from the UV System Supplier related to the General Contractor's Terms and Conditions.
