THE PURPOSE: To replace the roof on the facility located at 90 South Main Street, Sparta, NC 28675. The facility at 90 South Main Street is currently under construction for additional improvements. All work related to this RFP for roof replacement must be performed by the appropriately licensed contractor in coordination with the current general contractor performing the mentioned additional improvements to the facility. The roofing project itself shall consist of the following: Removal of the rubberized top membrane of the current roof and associated material on the raised dormer accordingly while leaving the original base roofing material if undamaged, Installation of new base flashing at new raised parapet and potential modifications to the flashing at adjacent clay le parapet caps if needed, Inspection of the insulation board and replacement of any damaged insulation board as needed, Overlaying the installed insulation board with a 1/4 " fiber board, Applying a TPO membrane roofing material, with at least a 20-year warranty, to the installed 1/4 " fiber board, Submittal of options and associated cost with the reconstruct the dormer to provide a natural e into the applied roofing material, Replacing the existing terracotta wall cap with an aluminum cap. Proposals must be free from alteration, or erasures, and all signatures must be hand signed in ink by the individual or provider making the proposal. Alleghany County reserves the right to waive technicalities, to reject any or all bids when not in the best interest of the County, or to request additional information if needed. All submittals become the property of Alleghany County when submitted and will not be returned. Alleghany County is not responsible for any cost related to the proposal submissions. All proposals shall be considered in accordance with NC State Law and without regard to age, sex, color, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, political belief, or disability that does not prohibit the performance of duty. Alleghany County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, to accept a bid which, in the opinion of the County and consistent with law, is in the best interest of the County or, if necessary, reissue Request for Proposals for this project.
