The project is being financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority. A certified check or bid bond made payable to the Township for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. The selected bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount in a form acceptable to the Township. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Pocopson Township reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids on any basis whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality in the bids, and to accept a bid which is in the Townships judgment in the Townships best interests, as permitted by law. The Work to be done under this Contract consists of all labor, equipment and materials to construct a Gravix Retaining Wall as shown on the Drawings and described in the Specifications. The Work includes but not limited to the following: Installing Erosion and sedimentation controls. Removal of trees and existing guide rail and walls and paving. Installation of Gravix wall and associated excavation backfill and compaction, disposal of material and other items per the Contract drawings and specifications. Restoration of disturbed surfaces. Milling and grading adjustments existing road to crown then super elevate road back to crown, restore line stripping. Placement of Superpave wearing course Disposal of any discarded/unused material soil erosion and sedimentation control measures, traffic control, restoration of existing roadway areas, LIQUIDATED DAMAGES Provisions for liquidated damages, if any, are set forth in the Agreement. The project is subject to prevailing wage. Prevailing wage project rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry shall be required. CONTRACT TIMES : 100 calendar days
