A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Housing Development (Tampico) Question Deadline 06/13/2023 at 5:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes The Anaheim Housing Authority (Authority) is pleased to announce a development opportunity for a site recently acquired by the Authority located on State College Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue (Site) in the City of Anaheim. The Site is approximately 0.51 acres in size. The Authority is seeking proposals to convert the Site into an affordable housing development, with the goal of servicing lower income individuals, inclusive of special needs populations. The Site, which previously operated as a 36-room motel, is comprised of a single parcel adjacent to two separate commercial buildings. The Authority acquired the Site in April 2023 with funds derived from the State of Californias General Fund, secured by the Office of California Senator Tom Umberg and awarded for the purpose of acquiring and converting a motel into permanent housing. The project will be developed under the Citys Residential Use of Motels, Commercial and Office Building Ordinance (Motel Conversion Ordinance) which was adopted in 2019. The developer will be responsible for meeting the Citys municipal codes as it relates to the ordinance (link to the Motel Conversion Ordinance).
