The Work includes the following major items: 1. Restoration of concrete walls, floors, and ceilings at existing water treatment plant. 2. Abatement of hazardous building materials. 3. Installation of approximately 1,400 LF of water main located east of the intersection of Jordan Creek Dr. and Christian B. Hass Dr. in St. Clair, Michigan. 4. Shorewell Pumping Station building addition including sodium hypochlorite chemical feed system and natural gas standby generator. 5. New low service pumps and VFDs at the Shorewell Pumping Station. 6. Installation of mechanical inline rapid mixers. 7. Construction of a new pretreatment system basin. 8. Installation of new pretreatment system improvements including flocculation, high-rate sedimentation, and sludge collection equipment. Equipment to be installed in two existing and one new pretreatment basin. 9. Construction of a new gravity filter. 10. Installation of gravity filter system improvements including filter underdrains, filter media, filter valve actuators, filter wash water troughs (Filter 4 only), filter control consoles, and air scour system. Equipment to be installed in three existing and one new gravity filter. 11. Three new filter transfer pumps. 12. Construction of secondary backwash piping system. 13. New high service pump discharge control valves and piping. 14. Associated process piping and valves. 15. Chemical feed system improvements including storage tanks, metering pumps, and feed piping and appurtenances. 16. New air handling unit and related heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) piping and equipment. 17. Miscellaneous plumbing improvements. 18. New LED lighting, emergency lighting, and receptacles at the Water Treatment Plant and Shorewell Pumping Station. 19. New standby diesel generator at the water treatment plant which includes fuel storage and piping. 20. New service entrance rated automatic transfer switch and motor control centers at the Water Treatment Plant and Shorewell Pumping Station. 21. Replacement of existing flow meters and other new instrumentation system components to support new equipment and processes. 22. New PLC and SCADA system to support water treatment equipment/processes.
