This work will include repairs to the three-story and single-story roofs at the Government Center as well as the Public Works Warehouse roof. All three roofs are standing seam. The three-story roof at the Government Center is 35+ years old and it was coated over ten years ago and is now out of warranty. The three-story roof is in poor condition and has experienced several leaks over the past few years. We are looking for a professional recommendation on our options going forward. The single-story roof at the Government Center is in good condition and we are looking for recommendations on a timeline for future maintenance. The Public Works Warehouse roof is in fair/poor condition, so we are looking for recommendations on our options to maintain this roof. The plan calls for engineering study work for all three roofs in 2023, repair work to the Government Center three-story roof in 2024, repair work to the Public Works Warehouse roof in 2025, and repair work to the City Hall single-story roof in 2027. The Public Works Warehouse roof will be paid for by the electric utility. As of October 20, 2023, this project is included in the Capital Improvement Plan for FY2023-2027. Construction was estimated to begin in Spring 2023 with completion November 1, 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
