Including but not limited to a new general population housing pod, segregation housing unit, mental health housing unit, and renovation to expand the existing medical care suite, expand inmate property storage, and repurpose existing office space. The Scope of the Project requires that measures be taken to provide for the on-going, un-interrupted use of the facility during construction. The Contract contains requirements for the Contractor to qualify and to engage a Detention Equipment Contractor (DEC) and Security Equipment Contractor (SEC), providing specialty capabilities, coordination, and integration of detention-specific skills. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds, insurance in compliance with requirements, and verification of E-Verify enrollment (also with Proposals), will be required at the signing of the Contract.
