Place approximately 79,355 square yards of asphalt rubber cape seal and 310,665 square feet of type II polymer modified asphalt emulsion slurry seal on various streets as indicated in the Specifications. Project includes weed removal, applying herbicide, crack sealing, traffic striping and legends removal, street sweeping services, thermoplastic re-striping, and other related items of work necessary to complete improvements. The City reserves the right to add/ delete certain streets from the project, if necessary, to stay within funding limitations at the sole discretion of the City Engineer. Slurry seal work on this project shall not start earlier than Monday, July 10, 2023. The Engineer's estimate for this project's Base Bid plus Additive Alternate Base Bid No. 1 is $1,437,000. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A, Class C-12 or Class C-32 California Contractors license and register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) at the time of the bid opening.
