Board of County Commissions of Yellowstone County is currently requesting bid from interested parties for all labor, materials, equipment, and permits necessary demolition of the former Sheriff's Office building located at 219 North 26th Street, Billings, MT 59101. Scope- The project consists of demolishing the Yellowstone County Roundhouse Building and associated abandonment of services and utilities to the building. Additional surfacing demolition will occur within the property to prepare for a future parking lot construction. The existing gas service will have its meter removed, and M DU will attend the demolition to properly remove the electrical service from the building. After building demolition, the lot will be graded per plans. The Project is located at 2550 3 rd Ave. North, Billings, M ontana, 59101 The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive informalities, to evaluate the bids submitted and to accept the bid that best serves the interests of Yellowstone County. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Yellowstone County, MT, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR'S Subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registrationare available from the Department of Labor and Industry, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena MT 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or Subcontractorsin performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as required by The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
