The Centre County Board of Commissioners invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the Valentine Street Houses Demolition. The Work of the Project consists of the demolition of two single family homes and the site will then be back filled, top soiled, and seeded. Locations- 502 Valentine Street House 512 Valentine Street House Bidders understand that the County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any or all irregularities or technicalities, and the right to award the Bid in the best interest of the County. The County of Centre is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer that selects Contractors without consideration of race, religion, color, ethnic background, sex, age or handicapped status. Minority-owned businesses are encouraged to submit Bids. The Work of the Project consists of the demolition of two single family homes and the site will then be back filled, top soiled, and seeded. The Successful Bidder shall provide a performance and payment bond for the full dollar amount within ten (10) business days from the day of the request by the County, or on the date a contract is entered into with the County, whichever shall first occur. Notice is hereby given that this project is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of October 27, 1955, P.L. 744 and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act No. 442 of August 14, 1961, as amended on August 9, 1963.
