Questions regarding Tuesday, May 9 th , 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Housing, hereinafter referred to as MCNDH, is soliciting bids for the new construction of two (2) single family homes in Checotah, OK and Prague, OK. A 5% bid bond/guarantee is required to submit a bid. A 100% payment and performance bond will be required within 10 days of notification of contract award. This project will be awarded as one single contract. The work to be performed under these contracts are subject to Section 7(b) ofthe Indian SelfDetermination Act (25 U.S.C. 450e(b)). Section 7(b) requires that to the greatest extent feasible: (i) preference and opportunities for training and employment shall be given to Indians, and (ii) preference in the award of contract and subcontracts shall be given to Indian organizations or Indian-owned economic enterprises. The parties to this contract shall comply with the provisions of Section 7(b) ofthe Indian Act. In connection with these contracts, the contractor shall, to the greatest extent feasible, give preference in the award of any subcontracts to Indian-owned economic enterprises, and preferences and opportunities for training and employment to Indians. The contracts shall include this Section 7(b) clause in every subcontract in connection with the project, and shall, at the direction ofthe recipient, take appropriate action pursuant to the subcontract upon a finding by the Department ofHousing or HUD that the subcontractor has violated the Section 7(b) clause ofthe Indian Act.
