The Intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor to construct the new Aldie Fire and Rescue Station project. The Fire & Rescue Station is identified as County PIN# 361-20-0427 and located at 39855 John Mosby Highway, Aldie, Virginia, 20105. The proposed facility is approximately 22,631 SF, including first floor and mezzanine floor area. The Project proposes construction of a one (1) story structure including five (5) apparatus bays, apparatus support spaces, bunk rooms, administrative offices, shower and locker areas, kitchen, dining, and mechanical mezzanine floor. The General Contractor shall be responsible for the safety and security of neighboring residents, Loudoun County staff, and the public throughout the project construction phase. The Aldie Fire & Rescue Station is located within a residential area; therefore, adherence to all local and state ordinances for work hours and noise levels shall be strictly enforced. The County reserves the right to reject all or any part of any bid, waive informalities, and award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to best serve the interest of the County.
