Construct 180 meters of waterside diking along the East bank of the Coldwater River within Merritt, BC. This project is part of the City of Merritt's Flood Mitigation Plan, in response to flooding that occurred in November 2021. TIMELINE: Request for proposals from engineering firms experienced in dike design and construction, to perform design, engineering and related services is closed, preferred proponent is selected. Project Construction to occur in 2024. Further update late fall 2023, upon approvals. *Total Estimated Project Construction Cost: $1,250,000 (this estimate is for construction only and excludes; design & engineering costs, other consulting fees, and contingency).
