The objective of this design build project is for the Contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the design and repair- by replacement of the existing roof and lightening protection systems at the Building 300, DDEAMC, Fort Gordon, GA on the 14 (approximately 17,753 sf) and 15 (approximately 11,300 sq ft), replace damaged electrical conduit for the security cameras at the 14 floor roof and install a metal safety rail system at the 14 floor roof. New roofing shall have a total roof system warranty of minimum of 20 years. Laydown area will be provided for roofing materials. Contractor is responsible for all protection of water infiltration during the demo and installation work. Although the existing lightning protection system is operational, it may require upgrading and/or more adequate securing of the system. All work shall be performed in accordance with all installation, state, and Federal codes and laws, and those Specific Repair Requirements listed in paragraph 2.1.3.2. Work shall be coordinated with the Facility Management Division (FMD) office in DDEAMC.
