Acceptability of the evidence related to the two projects is at the sole discretion of the Department. The improvements under this contract consist of the reconstruction of SR 77 from north of Rogers Road to just south of Cane Mill Road for a distance of 3.481 miles in Washington County. The work under FPID 217909-6-52-01 includes widening the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided typical section north and south of the Town of Wausau. The new four-lane rural typical section will consist of two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction separated by a 40- foot depressed median and 10-foot outside shoulders, 5-foot paved. Generally, within the Town of Wausau the typical section will transition to a five-lane undivided urban typical section with 6-foot sidewalks along each side. Stormwater ponds and improved roadside ditches, outfalls, side drains, culverts and inlets are included in the construction. Constructing two new bridges (Bridge Nos. 610167 and 610168) over Reedy Creek north of Wausau replacing existing bridge culvert ID 610011 and a new bridge (Bridge No. 614170) over Reedy Creek on Finch Circle to replace the existing concrete box culvert are included in the work. The work under FPID 217909-6-56-03 includes the replacement of the existing 6" water main with a new 8" water main for the Town of Wausau. Included in this will be constructing the new water main while maintaining service to residents and businesses along the corridor. New service connection under the new roadway and resetting meters will be required. The new water main starts just north of Barbrich Road and will extend north of Bonnie Lane where it currently ends to the new alignment of Finch Circle where it will reconnect to an existing 6"water main, approximately 2.4 miles. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
