Estimated contract duration without options (in month): 4 Estimated value: $366,800 to $605,599 University of Quebec in Montreal hereinafter named the Owner, having its head office at 1430, rue Saint-Denis, H2X 3J8, Montreal, Quebec, is requesting tenders for work to redevelop premises on level M (metro) located in the pavilions Hubert-Aquin (A), Judith-Jasmin (J) and Management Sciences (R). The work consists, without limitation, of demolishing and rebuilding various gypsum partitions, adding doors, frames and hardware and recovering some of them, patching and painting all the partitions, frames and doors of the premises under construction, replacing the tiles acoustic panels and sprinkler heads in existing hangers, replacing suspended ceiling systems and redoing vinyl tile floor sections. The electromechanical work consists of, and is not limited to, replacing lighting in certain rooms, adding and moving electrical outlets, modifying temperature and ventilation controls as well as replacing all sprinkler heads including the installation the uninstallation of temporary heat detection loops connected to the system Some demolition work will be done in asbestos condition. Consult the inspection report in Appendix 6 of the Additional and/or Special General Conditions. The Contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and its reinstallation. The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor shall act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and personnel. Similarly, all the pavilions including their accesses, circulations, etc. will also continue to be used throughout the duration of the work. The Contractor shall ensure that users will have access to premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and seamless climate. The Contract includes all development work, all demolition, protection, leveling and other work necessary for the complete completion of the Work and all related work such as: development and cleaning of the site, temporary protective work, repairs and modifications existing interior fittings. All jointing, repair and drilling work required for the work herein is included. The Contractor will be fully responsible for controlling access to the premises towards the site. In situations where the Contractor must carry out work elsewhere in the building or in cases where he must cut electromechanical services, he will do so outside normal hours of occupation by users, according to the authorizations of the Owner. Finally, the Contractor will be fully responsible for security and temporary protection on site.
