The principal work to be performed under this contract consist of, but not limited to improvement of the following: Furnish and install an 125 KW generator and install two (2) 450-amp breakers in existing ATS at the Town Office and a 25 KW generator along with a 200-amp ATS and 200-amp disconnect at the Alberta Bay 16 Pump Station with both including wiring modifications. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:15 am -5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the Lawrenceville Town Office, 400 North Main Street, Lawrenceville, Virginia 23868 Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 am -4 pm. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders. A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Evidence of proper registration with the Virginia State Registration Board of Contractors, pursuant to Chapter 11 of Title 54 of the Code of Virginia, must be submitted with each bid. The Town of Lawrenceville reserves the right to reject any all proposals received, to negotiate with the low bidder, and/or to re-advertise the project for bids.
