Project to implement priority measures for public transit on Guillaume-Couture Boulevard, between Alphonse-Desjardins Boulevard and rue Saint-Omer, including the transition to the east of rue Saint-Omer - Section 2. The project consists in particular of the: Complete redevelopment of the boulevard; Addition of a reserved lane per direction, for public transport; Repair of underground infrastructures; Addition of one-way bike paths; Addition of new bus shelters; Complete repair of traffic lights and lighting; Modification and relocation of public utilities. The section targeted by this call for tenders (Section 2) is located in the Desjardins borough on Guillaume-Couture Boulevard, between Alphonse-Desjardins Boulevard and Saint-Omer Street, for an approximate length of 1,300 meters. The intersection of boulevard Alphonse -Desjardins and boulevard Guillaume-Couture is excluded, but that of rue St-Omer with boulevard Guillaume-Couture is included. The approximate length of the work includes about 300 meters east of Saint-Omer Street to make the transition from the six (6) planned lanes to the four (4) lanes of the existing land. This section is part of an overall project totaling nearly 3 km of road expansion. The other sections, for which professional engineering services were carried out through other mandates, are as follow: Borough of Desjardins: Section 3 (0.6 km + transition) located between Route du Président-Kennedy and Boulevard Alphonse-Desjardins . Chutes-de-la-Chaudière-Est borough: Section 9 (1.1 km + transition) located between chemin du Sault and rue de Mercure. TIMELINE: Design is underway. Working drawings are to be completed by December 12, 2024. Further update in spring, 2024.
