Per the owner, as of September 23, 2024, an award has been made for this solicitation. The owner states that contractor bidding will likely occur in the fall of 2025 with construction beginning in 2026. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............ RFP Engineering - Civil Engineering Design Services - Galindo Street Pavement Rehabilitation The CITY will competitively solicit proposals and award a contract to the CONSULTANT with the most demonstrated competence and professional experience. No proposal will be accepted from or contract awarded to any person, firm, or corporation that is in arrears; or is in default to the CITY upon any debt or contract; or that is a defaulter, as surety or otherwise, upon any obligation to the CITY; or has failed to faithfully perform any previous contract with the CITY. PROJECT OVERVIEW The Galindo Street Pavement Rehabilitation (Project No. 2452) scope includes preparing bid documents (PS&E), as well as assistance with public outreach, and providing support during construction. Project No. 2452 will involve pavement rehabilitation on Galindo Street from Salivo Street to Cowell Road, and on Monument Boulevard from Cowell Road to Detroit Avenue. The estimated useful life of pavement rehabilitation shall be 15-20 years. Work will also include installation/upgrades of curb ramps at intersections/crossings, minor concrete repairs to facilitate pavement rehabilitation, adjustment of utilities, adjustment of pedestrian push buttons to meet accessibility standards (if required), installation of video detection systems (if required), restriping, and implementation of the Complete Streets Study for Galindo Street and the Corridor Conceptual Plan for Monument Boulevard as shown on the Bike and Pedestrian Safe Routes to Transit Master Plan. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
