The Central plant chiller floor will need to be structurally reinforced during the removal and addition of the chillers. The current electrical plumbing, and mounting pads for both units will need to be reworked to meet the new chiller requirements. UC Merced has purchased the two chillers with an estimated delivery date of November 11, 2023.
