Consideration of Award scheduled for a future meeting of the Pleasant Dale Park District Board of Commissioners. Questions will be answered in the form of written addenda and provided to all Bidders, as per State of Illinois statutes. Submit questions regarding the bid in writing to Matt Russian, mrussianfSipdparks.org no later than 2:00 PM on September 19,2022. Removal and replacement of existing asphalt paths, concrete walks, and structures. Removal of existing culvert pipes and installation of new precast box culverts. Excavating and regrading of an existing drainage channel and specialized seeding. Installation of stone pavers and stone outcroppings. This work is related to the removal of 36" three-barrel corrugated metal culvert, replacement with a 12' x 3' box culvert. The stream-bank will be regarded to create floodplain benches along each side, these areas will be seeded and planted with native species. Fieldstone steps will also be installed adjacent to culvert as well as adjacent to pedestrian bridge. Project also includes removal and replacement of the existing pedestrian path, removal of concrete pad, and addition of new path leading to baseball field along with new concrete bleacher pads. This work will involve updates to a riparian environment in a floodplain, however there are no wetlands on the project site. The District encourages the participation of businesses owned by Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities in the implementation and execution of the Project, either on a direct basis or through subcontracting efforts. DBE requirements for the Project are consistent with State of Illinois DBE requirements. A DBE Form must be submitted as a part of Contractor's bid. The contractor awarded the contract will be required to post a performance bond, labor and material payment bond in a penal amount equal to the contract price, plus insurance meeting District requirements. This contract calls for the construction of a "public work", within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01, ci seq. (the "Act") The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers and workers performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. For the entire duration of this work under the Contract, the Contractor shall conform to the federal and state statutes on equal opportunity and fair employment. Submission of required certified payroll records will be required prior to payment by Owner to the installation contractor. This notice shall not create any legal obligation on behalf of the District to evaluate any bid that is submitted by a contractor, or to enter into any contract with a contractor submitting a bid. The District reserves the right to (1) cancel or modify this notice or the contract documents in whole or in part; (2) reject any or all bids submitted; (3) waive nonmaterial formalities and technicalities deemed appropriate; (4) postpone bid opening; (5) issue a call for new bids; and/or (6) award the contract for the project in whole or in part, or to one or more contractors. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. $400,000 - $600,000
