Payment for the work done under this contract shall be made at the lump sum or unit prices bid, which prices shall include furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, and materials required to acceptably construct the various units, including but not limited to clearing, all types of excavation, trenching, shoring, pumping, pipe embankment, laying and joining pipe, testing, backfilling, repairing leaks, tamping aggregate, planting, clean up, removing surplus materials, aggregate base course, temporary resurfacing, removal of existing pavement, restoring lawns, etc. The payment shall also include cleaning up and maintaining in good condition: Other than State Highway roads and grounds; and State Highway roads and grounds for twenty-four months after the final acceptance of the work. As of June 14, 2023, all bids for this project have been rejected. The project is expected to rebid, an exact rebid date has not been confirmed, however, further information is expected to be released June 18, 2023. Install approximately 2,500 L.F. of 12 DICL water main, services, hydrants, valves and related work in Smithfield Township to serve the Stroudsburg Airport. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid payable to Pocono Mountains Industrial Park Authority. All Bid Bonds must be accompanied by a Power of Attorney or suitable letter of commitment from a licensed surety company as described in the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Payment of Pennsylvania prevailing wages will be required and are included in the documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or portion thereof, and to waive any informalities and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Authority.
