Bidding Limited To: Contractors Prequalified by DAS for General Building Construction (Group C) Prevailing wages are required on this project, in accordance with the schedule provided in Section 00 73 44 Prevailing Wage Rates, pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes (C.G.S.) Section 31-53 (a) through (h), as amended. Each contractor who is awarded a contract on or after October 1, 2002 shall be subject to provisions of C.G.S. 31-55a concerning annual adjustments to prevailing wages. Wage Rates will be posted each July 1st on the Department of Labor portal. Such prevailing wage adjustment shall not be considered a matter for any contract amendment. Contract Time Allowed: Calendar Days: 270 Liquidated Damages: $ 839.00 Per Calendar Day Beyond Substantial Completion. $ 839.00 Per Calendar Day Beyond 90 days After Substantial Completion. Set-Aside Requirements: SBE Subcontractors &/or Suppliers: 25%; MBE Subcontractors &/or Suppliers: 6.25% 1.This project includes repair work and the refinishing of miscellaneous surfaces on the interior of an existing Building - approximately 50,000 gross square feet. 2.The work is contained within a single area/space of the Building - the main assemble area. The scope of work includes, but may not be limited to; the repair and refinishing of the wood floor, the painting of the walls, new stripping for various sport events, new sound system with video scoreboards and added acoustical treatments. 2. The building is existing. The work is contained within a single area/space of the Building - the main assemble area. The scope of work includes, but may not be limited to; the repair and refinishing of the wood floor, new stripping for various sport events, new sound system, added acoustical wall treatments, optional acoustical ceiling treatments and optional video scoreboards. 3. This Project Exceeds the Threshold limits as defined by the Connecticut General Statutes. 4. This project is an Agency Administered project as defined by CG Statutes. 5. The Agency will remove any and all loose materials on the floor and walls prior to the start of the Construction. 6. The Drill Shed may be partially occupied during the Construction Phase of the Work. Events will be coordinated in advance with the General Contractor. Protection of completed work may be required. This will be discussed and addressed during regular weekly meetings as the need arises. 7. Vector Files will be provided for the National Guard Logo and the Minuteman to the General Contractor that is awarded the project. 8. The existing Concrete Floor Areas are NOT included in the Contract Work. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Work covered by these contract documents includes but is not limited to the following: 1. The replacement and/or repairing of portions of the existing Wood Athletic Flooring; 2. The refinishing of the existing Wood Athletic Flooring; 3. New Court Stripping for Basketball Courts, Volleyball Courts and a Running Track; 4. The installation of National Guard Floor Logo and Minuteman; 5. Wall Surface Protection Systems (Acoustical Panels); 6. Ceiling Surface Protection Systems (Acoustical Panels - Optional Bid Items #1 and #2); 7. New Sound Equipment; 8. Electrical Wiring for Video Boards; 9. New Video Display Boards (Optional Bid Items #3, #4 and #5)
