General work description: This project includes the milling and resurfacing of approximately 64,000 square yards of bituminous concrete roadway at various locations in the Town of Manchester. It also includes appurtenant work such as the resetting of utility structures, pavement markings and traffic control. All Roads: 1. Install silt sacks in existing catch basins; 2. Sawcut existing pavement at limits of resurfacing; 3. Mill bituminous concrete pavement (curb to curb) to depth indicated herein: a. Buckland Street and Slater Street: 2" b. Pleasant Valley Road, Utopia Road, Union Street, Grissom Road and Shephard Drive: 1.5" 4. Replace all catch basin tops, storm manhole frames and covers and sanitary sewer manhole frames and covers within resurfacing limits unless otherwise noted; 5. Reset water gate valve boxes within resurfacing limits; 6. Replace bituminous concrete curb on Union Street with extruded concrete curb; 7. Reset any granite curb at the locations identified by the Engineer, if any; 8. Make full depth pavement repairs at the locations identified by the Engineer; 9. Install tack coat to all milled surfaces; 10. Install 2" PMA S0.5 (Buckland St. and Slater St.) Install 1.5" PMA S0.5 (All other roads) 11. Install epoxy resin pavement markings 12. Remove silt sacks from catch basins;
