Project Description: The contractor shall supply all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials to perform all work in strict accordance with the MATOC Umbrella contract specifications, this statement of work, and identified drawings to replace the existing HVAC system and controls. Replace damaged interior walls and carpets and portions of the existing roof. Building J01172 is located on Levitow Boulevard, West of J Ramp and South of J Taxiway, McChord AFB, Washington. Building J01172 is a multi-use building that houses the Command Post (CP), weather office, intelligence and tactics offices, and other miscellaneous offices. It was originally built in 1959. The building has undergone numerous renovations, and the latest major mechanical replacement project was completed in 1999 and has since had a renovation in 2004. The current mechanical configuration consists of a single 346 MBH boiler and a 30-ton DX outdoor unit serving a central air handler and VAV boxes with reheat located throughout the spaces. An additional redundant 7.5 ton packaged rooftop heat pump serves the Command Center. There is a security fence circling the building and immediate parking area. There are 1 pedestrian and 3 vehicle gates. There are building entrances below grade and above grade.
