The scope of work for this pre-qualification package is for the specific bid package for the Atkins Tower ADA and Fire/Smoke System Upgrades. The procurement process will follow the State Construction process. The project designer is C Design, Inc. The first phase of this project includes 2,425 sqft of interior renovations at Atkins Library on the ground floor. A portion of the ground floor of the library is being converted to house the archives which are currently located on floors 9 & 10 to prepare for phase 2 work. The anticipated schedule for construction of phase 1 is February 2024 to May 2024. The second and final phase of this project includes approximately 11,500 sqft of interior renovations required for ADA and Fire/Smoke System upgrades. The existing elevator and portions of the shaft will be removed to expand the footprint and install a larger elevator. Additional renovations for ADA compliance and upgrades to the Fire/Smoke system will take place on floors 1 through 10. This phase also includes restroom renovations on floors 5 through 10. The anticipated schedule for construction of phase 1 is May 2024 to August 2025.
