The Town of Andover is seeking Statements of Qualifications for elevator contractors for the construction of the new 191,000 square foot West Elementary and Shawsheen Preschool and associated demolition and sitework. The new project will be located at the site of the existing West Elementary at 58 Beacon Street. All questions shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to Brian DeFilippis at bdefilippis@PMAConsultants.com referencing West Elementary and Shawsheen Preschool RFQ Questions in the subject line. Andover is an affirmative action/ equal opportunity purchaser. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all proposals or take whatever other action may be deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the Town 1. Project is the construction of a new elementary school located on the site of the existing Andover West Elementary School facility, at 58 Beacon Street in Andover, Massachusetts. The project includes construction of a new school building, with classrooms, gymnasium, and dining commons including a raised platform, and outdoor playground facilities with play structures. Also included in the project is the abatement and demolition of the existing building and construction of access drives, parking and associated site work including construction of a synthetic turf field for outdoor playfields and playgrounds. 2. The new Andover West Elementary and Shawsheen Preschool will serve PreKindergarten (replacing the existing Shawsheen Pre-K School programs), Kindergarten and elementary Grades 1 through 5. It is designed for an enrollment of 1,055 students and is 191,028 gross square feet. Estimated Construction Cost: $119,000,000 Estimated Project Duration: Phase 1: 24 months Phase 2: 12 months
