The Projector Installation was awarded to Bluum USA, with an awarded amount of $108.165.93, and for the Security Camera Installation, it was awarded to EKC Enterprises for $44,940.00. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the base bid and made payable to the Owner. If a bid bond is used, it must be issued by an Admitted Surety (an insurance organization authorized by the Insurance commissioner to transact surety insurance in the State of California during this calendar year), which shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded the work and will be declared forfeited, paid to, or retained by the Owner as liquidated damages if the bidder refuses or neglects to enter into the contract provided by the Owner after being requested to do so. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price, and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds to be secured from an Admitted Surety (an insurance organization authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact business of insurance in the State of California during this calendar year), and satisfactory to the Owner. Time of completion date for the project(s) shall be 60 Calendar Days from the notice of proceed date. Owner reserves the right to reject any bid as nonresponsive if a listed subcontractor is not licensed at the time the bidder's bid is submitted to Owner, whether or not the bidder listed the unlicensed subcontractor inadvertently. Rejection of any or all proposals, to contract work with whomever and in whatever manner, to abandon work entirely, and/or to waive any informality in receiving of bids is reserved as the right of the Owner. Before the contract or contracts are awarded, the Owner may at its sole discretion require from the proposed Contractor on each project further evidence of the reasonable qualifications of such contractor to faithfully, capably, and reasonably perform such proposed contract and may consider such evidence before making its decision on the award of such proposed contract.
