First phase of the program of expansion and renovations to the College facilities. The scope of the project includes the construction of a new structure that will be linked to the existing building and renovation of the existing buildings on the Saint-Jérôme campus. This major project is planned over the next few years and is due to the expected growth of the current number of students from 4,500 to approximately 6,000 in 2029-2030. The CSTJ needs approximately 10,600 square meters (115,000 square feet) to meet its long-term needs. The project will be LEED certified. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary. The Quebec Government has allocated an amount of $2 million for preliminary studies and the project preparation and officially considers now the project as being "under study". Preparation of the project functional and technical program is underway. The owner has awarded a contract to the consortium including the firms Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architectes and Archi- for the real estate analysis of the existing facilities. Project parameters are being finalized. Notes. - The owner has awarded professional consulting firms including Jodoin Lamarre Pratte/ CGA architectes en consortium in collaboration with Les Services EXP inc., Brodeur Consultants and CCxA to complete a real estate analysis of the existing facilities and establish a concept of the project. - Project is included in the Quebec Treasure Board list of projects with a value equal or exceeding $50M. Value of the project is not finalized.
