The Water Department in the City of Waterbury CT is seeking proposals for the Waterbury Water Treatment Plant New Remote Radiator Installation Project for the replacement of existing generator cooling system (in-line heat exchanger) with new remote radiator to be exhausted out through existing intake louvers. The Waterbury Water Treatment Plant New Remote Radiator Installation shall follow the Project technical specifications and shall comply with all applicable City and State of Connecticut requirements and the Project Scope of work and the Contract Documents. The Successful Proposer (Contractor) Shall Substantially Complete All Work and Services Required Under This Contract Within Three Hundred Thirty (330) Consecutive Calendar Days of the City's Written Notice to Proceed and Shall Reach Final Completion Within Four Hundred Twenty (420) Consecutive Calendar Days of the City's Written Notice to Proceed Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Bid Price. The Bidder to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000.00, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the proposal limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served.
