2022 Wild Addition and Addition and York Street ork Street Addition Infrastructure Improvements General Notice Village of Viola(Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: 2022 Wild Addition and York Street Addition Infrastructure Improvements The Project has an expected duration of 198 days. The Project includes the following Work: {construction of infrastructure improvements on the Wild Addition and York Street Additions to the Village of Viola. Work will include: stripping and stockpiling topsoil, common excavation, clearing and grubbing, grading, base course, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, curb and gutter, asphalt paving, restoration of the work area, and other miscellaneous items in conformance with the Contract Documents. All Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or EJCDC C-430 Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid payable to the OWNER. If submitting your bid online through Quest, your bid shall be accompanied with an electronic proof of Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid payable to the OWNER. All Bids uploaded and submitted through Quest shall also be accompanied with Bid Form 00 41 43. Prospective Bidders are required to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Upon Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidders delivery service. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats: Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The CONTRACTOR shall be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rate as established by law. This project is expected to be funded in whole or in part with funds provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service. Information on applicable federal requirements is contained in the Project Manual. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within 45 days after the actual day of the opening thereof. The Village of Viola reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all Bids.
