As of May 10, 2022, project is on hold as they were over the budget. No definite date for the rebid. The McCord Drainage Ditch Project will decrease erosion and improve maintenance access, safety, and stormwater conveyance capacity along the McCord Pond drainage ditch, starting at Betton Road and ending approximately 300 feet north of Post Road, behind Ashford Club Apartments. Erosion along this segment of the ditch has caused steep side slopes and deep drop-offs, and the wooden retaining wall located north of Post Road, which has reached the end of its useful life, restricts proper access for maintenance. The existing open drainage ditch will be replaced with an underground box culvert that will convey stormwater below ground. The work of this project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for construction of an underground box culvert and associated end walls consisting of sheet piling and concretes wall including temporary wall, storm inlets and manholes, storm pipes, roadway asphalt repair, sanitary sewer main and manhole, fencing, sediment and erosion control and associated construction.
