The Project scope includes a security system/central control upgrade: a new fire alarm panel, uninterrupted power supply, electronic key distribution system, Wi-Fi enhancement, intercoms in cells, replacement of wooden single cell doors, and coordination with the recently completed design of an upgraded audio/system. The scope for the renovation of the non-contact area includes new interview booths/kiosks for virtual visits in the housing area for Mental Health staff and other business. The remodel of the common services/pre-trial area will provide additional space for pretrial service to improve safety and security as well as increase efficiency in facility operations. The Project is expected to have a total construction cost not greater than $17 million. *This project has been identified as part of a stimulus package
