The Work of this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services and incidentals; and of performing all work necessary to complete all specified work in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared therefore and entitled Highway 274 Force Main. The work generally consists of constructing approximately 28,000 LF of sanitary sewer force main along Highway 274. This project will replace an existing 12" main that flows from Crowders Creek wastewater pump station to the Allision Creek pump station. Materials include, but are not limited to, 24" DIP, 24" fusible PVC, 20" DIP, 8" DIP, 6" DIP, 4" DIP, and 2" PVC. Construction will warrant 7 roadway crossings and 2 directional drills. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check or Bid Bond made payable to the OWNER in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid if the total amount of the bid exceeds $30,000. Generally, the bid security of all Bidders, including the three (3) lowest responsible Bidders, will be returned within ten (10) days after the OWNER and the accepted Bidder have executed the written Contract and the accepted Bidder has filed acceptable Performance and Indemnity and Payment Bonds. Upon request and no earlier than thirty (30) days after the formal opening of bids, the County will return the bid security of any Bidder.
