SSingle prime proposals will be received from contractors licensed per G.S.87. A bid bond or other bid security is required. Payment and performance bonds will be required of the general contractor who is awarded this project. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) guidelines must be followed. Brunswick County Schools encourages participation by HUB firms and supports efforts to ensure and promote opportunities for MBE. Brunswick County Schools reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals and waive any informalities. The project shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work required to satisfactorily complete the Science Classroom Renovations project, with the exception of the procurement of the following scientific casework items: base and wall cabinets, all countertops and integral sinks as indicated on drawings. Casework items will be owner furnished, contractor installed, with contractor responsibility to include the coordination of delivery, bonded storage, and installation, with chosen vendor. Requests for Information (RFI) and Pre-Bid substitutions will be considered by the design team if submitted in writing via e-mail to the Architect's Project Manager; Rick Collins, AIA (rcollins@beckermorgan.com) and copied to Kim Wilson (kwilson@beckermorgan.com), please do not call with questions. All RFI's must be received by Friday, January 19, 2024, at 2 PM. Any questions received after the RFI deadline will not be considered. Responses to Bidder RFIs will be formally answered by an addendum
