In general, the work consists of: upgrading and modernization of a three stop hydraulic elevator including a new programmable microprocessor controller with a leveling system and soft start, battery lowering feature, new hoistway limit switches, new car top inspection station and pit stop switch, new machine room and hoistway wiring and travel cables, new hall call buttons, new closed loop door operators, new non2 contact door protection device, hoistway access switches (top and bottom), jamb braille plates at hoistway entrances, submersible power unit (motor, pump, control valve and muffler), new oil, new door equipment, new ceiling with LED lighting, new cab wall panels, hoistway lighting and GFCI outlets. New HVAC mini split unit to be installed in Elevator Equipment Room. Contract offer and construction phase records including Questions, Requests for Information, Construction Bulletins, Bids, Change Orders, Schedule of Values, and Requests for Payment will be processed electronically on the WisBuild(TM) DFD Information System. Other construction phase records and applications will be implemented, as they become available. The Contractor shall obtain all permits, licenses, and approvals needed for the performance of the Work and will give all notices and comply with all laws, codes, rules and regulations that pertain to the performance of the Work. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. 14 Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. DFD reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept any bid.DFD reserves the right to reject the bid if evidence submitted by, or investigation of, the bidding firm fails to satisfy DFD that the firm is deemed responsible and qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and fully complete all the work described in these bidding documents.
